In Vietnamese, we often hear the phrase "Chúc Mừng"; commonly translated as "congratulations". But the word "Mừng" takes on a deeper, more luminous meaning when viewed through the lens of Chữ Nôm.

In Chữ Nôm, the character for Mừng is 𢜠. On the left side is the radical 忄, derived from 心 (heart); a component that symbolizes human emotion, feeling, and sincerity. Words carrying this radical often relate to emotions of the heart. On the right side sits 明, a phonetic component that guides its pronunciation. Yet 明 also carries the meaning of brightness, clarity, and understanding. Together, the composition of 忄 and 明 suggests something far deeper than a simple well-wish. It expresses a moment where the heart recognizes something meaningful and bright; a feeling of genuine joy from the heart we wish to share with others. This is why in Vietnamese culture, people do not simply say "congratulations". We say "Chúc Mừng", it is a greeting that comes from the heart; a heartfelt recognition of something worthy of celebration.

At NÔM, the philosophy of "Mừng" lies at the center of everything we do. From our hospitality to our warm gestures and the smallest details, "Mừng" represents the emotion we hope every guest feels from the moment they walk through our doors. Nguyên (源) reminds us to respect the origin, then Nâng (㨢) reminds us to elevate the experience. And Mừng (𢜠) represents the heart of Vietnamese hospitality.

Together, these three philosophies: Nguyên (源) - Nâng (㨢) — Mừng (𢜠) form the cultural foundation of NÔM Dining, reflecting the three pillars of our philosophy:
